What Laser Do We Use?
At Laser Sydney we only use the highest quality, authorized medical grade laser system. The candela GentleLASE alexandrite laser is the premier laser hair removal system available on the market, treating quickly, comfortably and effectively so you never have to wax or shave again!
Our medical grade lasers are FDA and TGA approved, and our clinicians are fully certified. We are also proudly a Candela Certified Practitioner.
How Does Medical Grade laser works?
Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair and transmitted down the hair shaft, disrupting the hair growth mechanism when it reaches the root.
The light energy is transformed to heat energy and the hair follicle is heated to a critical temperature at which point it is cauterized. In most cases 8-10 sessions are required at 6 week intervals in order to achieve desired results. Laser hair removal is not as effective on blonde, grey or red hairs due to the lack of pigment therefore the darker the hair the better it will work! Redness and warmth is totally normal! Apply a soothing gel (like aloe vera) and avoid heat (hot showers, saunas, gym) for 24–48 hours.
☀️ SPF is NON-negotiable
Your skin is more sensitive to the sun, protect it daily with SPF 50+ to avoid pigmentation.
🚫 No picking, scratching or exfoliating (yet!)
Let the treated hairs shed naturally over 1–2 weeks. Avoid exfoliation for at least 3–5 days.
🧴 Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate
Keep your skin moisturised to support healing and keep it looking fresh.
